National Safety Week 2: Safe Driving in Hartford Township
National Safety Week 2 focuses on one of the most important responsibilities we share on our roads: safe, attentive driving. As traffic increases across Hartford Township—especially during farming season, community events, and fair‑related travel—every driver plays a role in keeping our neighbors, families, and first responders safe. This week, we encourage all residents to slow down, stay alert, and make thoughtful choices behind the wheel. Small habits like reducing speed on rural roads, eliminating distractions, and giving extra space to farm equipment make a big difference in protecting our community.
June marks the start of National Safety Month, a nationwide initiative led by the National Safety Council to promote awareness, prevention, and community readiness across all areas of daily life. Hartford Township encourages residents to take this month as an opportunity to strengthen safe habits at home, on the road, and in the workplace, helping us build a community that is prepared, informed, and protected.
This week we are focusing on CPR and AED awareness.
